When you contact us
The enquiry form sends your name, email address, company and project description through AWS to our business inbox. We do not store submissions in a website database. You can also contact us directly by email.
We use that information to respond to your enquiry, discuss services and, where appropriate, take steps towards a contract. Please avoid including sensitive personal information that is not needed for your enquiry.
Analytics and your choice
Google Analytics is not currently enabled. If enabled for the public site, it will load only after you choose to accept analytics. It helps us understand visits and how pages are used. Rejecting analytics does not affect access to the website.
You can reopen Cookie preferences at the bottom of any page to change your choice. Rejecting after previously accepting stops further analytics on this site and clears its accessible Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase information already received by Google.
Cookies and local storage
We save your analytics choice in local storage on your device under hd-analytics-consent-v1. This remembers your preference between visits. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser data.
If analytics is enabled and accepted, Google Analytics may set cookies including _ga and _ga_*. They distinguish visits and sessions. Their configured duration will be documented before analytics is activated.
Who receives information
The website is hosted on AWS. Enquiries are processed using AWS Lambda and Amazon SES in London and delivered to our Microsoft 365 business inbox. Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical browser information to protect the form from automated submissions. Application logs are retained for 14 days; the form handler does not log enquiry bodies. If you accept analytics on a future live version, Google receives analytics information. These providers may process information outside the UK under their applicable data protection terms.
Keeping information
We keep enquiry information only as needed to respond, manage the business relationship and meet applicable obligations. You can contact us to ask about retention or request deletion of your enquiry.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, or request a portable copy. You may withdraw consent where we rely on it. Contact tom@howsondigital.com. You can also raise concerns with the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Embedded video and interactive media
Our locally hosted reels play without loading an external video player. Selecting a YouTube or Vimeo preview connects to that provider and loads its embedded player, which receives technical information such as your IP address. Their privacy policies apply. The Team17 interactive tour is hosted with this website on AWS and loads directly on the project page.
Direct enquiry delivery
The form uses AWS SES for email delivery and Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. These services operate when you use the form; accepting optional analytics is not required. If delivery fails, your entered details remain in the form so you can retry or email us directly.
Other websites
Client logos and project links may take you to other websites. Their own privacy notices apply when you visit them.
